Asheville Brews Cruise

Join fellow Pirates for a bus tour of local breweries in Asheville!

Saturday, September 19, 2015
12:00 noon–3:30 p.m.

Plan to arrive by 11:45, as the bus departs at 12:00.

Start location:
Zebulon Vance Memorial in Pack Square
Intersection of Patton Avenue and Biltmore Avenue

End location:
Wild Wing Café
161 Biltmore Avenue

For this cruise, our ship will be a bus and our voyage will be to three local breweries! After boarding at the monument, our first stop will be Pisgah Brewing Company, where participants will be taken on an in-depth tour of the facility and learn how beer is made from raw materials to bottling. The next stop is the French Broad Brewery, where participants will learn about different beer styles and origins. The final stop is Catawba Brewing Company, which is opening its second location in Asheville, so participants can see a brewery in progress. Samples will be available at each brewery; participants are not obligated to drink any samples provided. Those who wish to attend but not drink may purchase designated driver tickets at a reduced cost. The tour will end at Wild Wing Cafe. Afterward, stay for a free viewing party to watch the Pirates play Navy!

Parking is available at the Biltmore Avenue Garage under the Aloft Hotel, though space is limited. The cost is free for the first hour and then $1 for each additional hour or fraction thereof, with a maximum of $10.

Don’t forget to wear your PURPLE and GOLD! Closed-toe shoes are required.

Important: It is highly recommended that you arrange transportation or designate a sober driver for the conclusion of the tour.
